The city of Córdoba enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with an average of 143 cloud-free days, compared to 76 overcast days. As regards temperatures, the hottest time of year is during the summer period, while the rest of the year is very mild. Córdoba has an exceptional geographical situation, very well-connected not only with Andalusia, but also with the rest of Spain, via the main artery road A-4. The main access points are:
From Madrid: Via the Southern Motorway A-4, in approximately 4 hours
From Seville: Also via the Southern motorway A-4, in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
From Málaga: Via the Córdoba-Málaga Motorway A-45, in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
The High Speed Train (AVE) links Madrid to Córdoba in 1 hour 40 minutes, Sevilla-Córdoba in 40 minutes, Málaga-Córdoba in 50 minutes and Barcelona-Córdoba in 4 hours 35 minutes.
Córdoba has an airport which is operative for small or propeller-driven aircrat. Currently it does not operate regular passenger flights, though that is foreseen for the future.
